Description:

Our client, a SaaS solution in the cloud, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. The right person has a strong operations background and has full control of the global AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Enhance our DevOps and GitOps tools, processes, and procedures.

• Architect, deploy, and oversee our AWS cloud infrastructure for maximum scalability, resilience, and efficiency.

• Craft, manage, and scale cloud-native environments across Production, QA, and development realms.

• Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles through Terraform, ensuring versioning and reproducibility of all cloud resources.

• Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate swift and dependable deployments across diverse projects and technologies.

• Cultivate and nurture Docker/Kubernetes ecosystems on AWS, fostering efficiency and innovation.

• Curate and sustain a GitLab-driven CI/CD delivery pipeline, seamlessly integrated with Kubernetes.

• Engineer a GitOps infrastructure leveraging GitLab and Kubernetes integration, optimizing deployment workflows.

• Implement comprehensive observability solutions utilizing tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure application health.

• Safeguard infrastructure and applications with rigorous security testing and controls, automating wherever possible.

• Drive automation across the board, embodying a relentless pursuit of efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with our engineering team, propelling our infrastructure and operations capabilities forward in this dynamic landscape.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or similar.

• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and auto-scaling technologies like Karpenter. Kafka is also key.

• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.

• Extensive experience in DevOps and cloud-native environments, particularly AWS.

• Deep familiarity with GitOps methodologies integrated with Kubernetes clusters.

• Expertise with CI/CD tools such as GitLab.

• Experience in both static and dynamic security testing of infrastructure and application layers.

• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments and networking fundamentals.

• Demonstrated proficiency in infrastructure as code with a disciplined approach to development, documentation, and code structure.

• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.

• Self-disciplined and task-oriented mindset towards development, testing, and code organization.

• This role is fully remote.
