Walker Elliott is assisting/working with dynamic upstream oil and gas company in Midland, Texas in recruiting efforts. With a focus on innovation, strategic acquisitions, and operational excellence, company is dedicated to unlocking the full potential of Permian Basin acreage. They are looking to expand on their footprint, and they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geology Manager to join their leadership team and drive the success of their geology-focused initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead geological efforts in the evaluation of potential acquisitions, conducting thorough assessments of Permian Basin acreage for exploration and development opportunities.
• Oversee the identification and generation of high-potential prospects through comprehensive geological analysis and interpretation of subsurface data.
• Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in geological science to enhance exploration and development strategies.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Geology
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in geological roles within the upstream oil and gas industry, with a focus on the Permian Basin.
• Proven experience in leading geological evaluations for acquisitions and exploration projects.
• Expertise in subsurface mapping, sequence stratigraphy, and well log analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex geological concepts
