VP Reservoir Engineering (onsite)
Walker Elliott is assisting/working with dynamic upstream oil and gas company in Midland, Texas in recruiting efforts. With a focus on innovation, strategic acquisitions, and operational excellence, company is dedicated to unlocking the full potential of Permian Basin acreage. They are looking to expand on their footprint, and they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Reservoir Engineering to join our leadership team and drive the success of our reservoir-focused initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical aspects of acquisitions, divestitures, and evaluations of Permian Basin acreage, ensuring thorough reservoir assessments and economic evaluations.
- Develop and implement reservoir optimization strategies, maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and economic returns.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments related to reservoir performance, production forecasting, and economic modeling to inform decision-making processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and emerging best practices in reservoir engineering to maintain the company's competitive edge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering
- Proven track record in reservoir engineering, with at least 5+ years of relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas industry
- Extensive experience in reservoir evaluation, acquisitions, and development, with a focus on Permian Basin reservoirs
- ARIES, Excel, Spotfire proficiency
